Carbonnique was born out of 3 simple questions:

(3) What if an esthetician-quality facial was something you could accomplish yourself in the comfort of your own home?

We have known each other for 25 years but our ways parted after we finished high school.
Monika is a certified dermatologist, M.D. Ph.D. from the Department of Dermatology, Venereology, and Allergology at the Medical University of Gdansk where she worked as an assistant professor. She has co-authored over 15 scientific papers in dermatology. She has always been interested in how women perceive beauty and self-acceptance. Her professional interests also include stress and how its inflammatory properties impact skin condition. She currently runs her own practice providing comprehensive care in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Marta has Master’s Degree in Marketing from Warsaw School of Economics. She currently lives in New York. For the last 14 years she has worked as a media account director at media agency OMD, having the opportunity to work for fortune 500 companies. She has co-authored multiple campaigns rewarded with an Effie—the most prestigious award for media and marketing effectiveness.Throughout her career she has also worked for SAS Institute in Brussels, a leader in the data and analytics space.
